Rheinmetall 4iG Digital Services (R4) is a joint venture between Rheinmetall, a globally leading supplier of defense and automotive products, and 4iG, Hungary’s leading IT systems integrator. R4 was founded end of 2022 with its headquarters in Budapest and the initial mission to provide project- and operations-related IT services to Rheinmetall’s local subsidiaries in Hungary and worldwide. Based on business requirements and opportunities, R4 plans to progressively expand the scope of its services for internal and external customers alike. In order to achieve our common goals, we count on you
- Purpose of the Role:
- The primary purpose of this role is to ensure and continuously improve the effective operation and oversight of the organization under their responsibility in order to achieve strategic objectives, by providing expert project and portfolio management as well as project governance and test management competences.
- Provide expert project and portfolio management as well as project governance and test management support to the different levels of the organization, from single projects to the senior leadership of the Rheinmetall IT
- Establish, operate, and continuously improve project and portfolio management as well as project governance and test management processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-border teams (e.g., IT specialists, business analysts, service architects) to ensure the success of Rheinmetall ITs’ Enterprise Project Management Office.
- Continuously improve an already established strong and high-performing team by ensuring adequate resource allocation.
- Foster a culture of international collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Provide professional leadership, mentoring, and development opportunities for team members.
- Monitor industry trends to identify development and improvement opportunities.
- Manage team performance through clear expectations, regular feedback, and performance evaluations.
- Measure and enhance the effectiveness and results of the Project Management organization.
- Prepare analyses, reports, proposals, and decision-support materials for the direct supervisor.
- Leading the Project Management department with over 40 colleagues in five teams
What you will need for successful work
- University degree (preferably in IT or Engineering)
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience
- Minimum 5 years of leading leaders experience
- Strong knowledge of the following areas:
- Project management
- Portfolio management
- Project governance
- Test management
- Familiarity with IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks
- Fluent (business-level) English and German
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Planning and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Leadership skills
- Exceptional Stakeholder Management skills
- PMP / IMPA level C or higher certification
- ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) or higher certification
