Rheinmetall 4iG Digital Services (R4) is a joint venture between Rheinmetall, a globally leading supplier of defence and automotive products, and 4iG, Hungary’s leading IT systems integrator. R4 has been founded end of 2022 with its headquarters in Budapest and the initial mission to provide project- and operations-related IT services to Rheinmetall’s local subsidiaries in Hungary and worldwide. Based on business requirements and opportunities, R4 plans to progressively expand the scope of its services for internal and external customers alike. In a nutshell, R4 is like a start-up with guaranteed success. Equipped with a hands-on mentality, it significantly benefits from the support and tremendous growth of both Rheinmetall and 4iG. In order to achieve our common goals, we count on you
- Design and define interface architectures and APIs for enterprise integrations, including RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, Webhooks
- Lead requirements engineering activities in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders
- Create end-to-end solution designs, including system interactions and integration flows
- Perform data mapping between source and target systems, ensuring data consistency and quality
- Assess existing IT landscapes to identify integration points, risks, and optimization opportunities
- Support project planning, including effort estimation, dependency analysis, and technical roadmap creation
- Actively manage and align with stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions
- Produce and maintain clear technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and specifications
- Apply best practices for SaaS integration patterns, ensuring scalability and maintainability
- Design and support identity and access management concepts, including SSO solutions (e.g. Azure AD)
- Ensure secure data flows, compliance with security standards, and protection of sensitive data
What you will need for successful work
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Integration Architect, or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of API and interface architecture, including REST, GraphQL, and webhook-based integrations
- Solid experience in requirements engineering and translating business needs into technical solutions
- Hands-on experience with solution design, system integration, and data mapping
- Ability to assess and understand complex enterprise IT landscapes
- Experience with SaaS integration patterns and cloud-based architectures
- Knowledge of identity and access management concepts, including SSO and Azure Active Directory
- Strong understanding of secure data flows, authentication, authorization, and data protection principles
- Experience in project planning, stakeholder management, and cross-team collaboration
- Ability to create clear, structured technical documentation and architecture diagrams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)

What we are happy about
- Experience with Microsoft Azure
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code
- Understanding of data privacy and compliance requirements (e.g. GDPR)
- Previous experience in consulting or customer-facing roles
- Relevant architecture or cloud certifications (e.g. TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect)
